Genome is a Lithuanian-based Electronic Money Institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. Genome is a B2B/B2C EU-oriented company, which offers personal, business, and merchant account opening, payment processing, money exchange, internal, SEPA, and SWIFT transfers, as well as other banking operations completely online. 

 

In January 2024, the company decided to find an experienced DevOps Team Lead who has strong experience as technical specialist and manager. The role required ownership and responsibility for the DevOps architecture and technical leadership of the company infrastructure and environments.

DevOps Team Lead Profile

This professional needed to lead the DevOps Team. The role required ownership and responsibility for the DevOps architecture and technical leadership of the company infrastructure and environments.

  • At least 5 years of DevOps experience and at least 1 year of team management experience;

  • Experience in building highly loaded, High Availability systems;

  • Excellent knowledge of Red Hat/CentOS;

  • Excellent knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, WAF, CloudWatch, VPC, EBS, Snapshots, SG, SSO, etc);

  • Experience in setting up and using container orchestration systems: Nomad, Kubernetes, ECS, MESOS, DCOS, Docker Swarm;

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns, principles, and tools (Terraform, Puppet, etc);

  • Experience with service discovery: consul;

  • Experience in using Docker and understanding of the containerization paradigm;

  • Experience with Nginx, MySQL, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch;

  • Skills in working with DNS servers and DNS service providers;

  • Good level of English language skills (spoken, and written).

Sourcing Strategy

  • The first step after the client briefing was to create a sourcing strategy. We created lists of companies and experienced candidates from Europe and Ukraine;

  • A list of main keywords was compiled to help identify candidates with specific technical skills;

  • A creative letter was crafted to attract technical candidates;

  • Candidates were reached out to via LinkedIn, Skype, and email;

  • Support was provided to candidates throughout the entire funnel and process.
