Social Discovery
Together Networks is a Ukrainian product company that is a top-3 leader in social-discovery. For the last 15 years, it has expanded its business geography to 40 countries, attracting almost 9.5M new satisfied users every month.
At the beginning of summer 2023, Together Networks launched a new product and needed to strengthen the Affiliate Marketing department. The request was for a specialist with a very specific expertise: previous experience in a niche, a track record of running campaigns for tier-1 countries, experience managing budgets of $50K+ per month, and a personal network of relevant professional connections. The team was not ready to consider candidates from affiliate agencies or specialists experienced with other niches. These conditions narrowed our search funnel, requiring a precise headhunting approach.
Sourcing Strategy
-
We conducted an in-depth market analysis to identify ideal donor companies’ profiles (we searched for the competitors not only via LinkedIn but also in exhibitors' lists of professional conferences in the performance marketing field);
-
We were actively leveraging our internal candidates’ base targeting specialists Who had already participated in hiring processes for similar vacancies;
-
We utilized Djinni, work.ua, and robota.ua as additional sources.

Key to Success
-
To close niche vacancies, you should have deep market knowledge, such as a competitor landscape, their teams' expertise, the perks and bonuses they offer, and the internal situation to detect selling points for candidates who are not interested in changing their current positions.
-
Your persistence can move mountains: send personalized messages leveraging your market knowledge; periodically ping candidates with follow-ups to remind them about your proposal.
-
Your network is crucial: grow your internal candidate base, maintain good relations with previously rejected specialists, and ask them for recommendations.
